Taxpayer guidance on new IRS tax forms 1968 changes
Taxpayers will receive income tax forms by mail in January and can also obtain them at IRS offices post offices and banks. Use mailed forms to file to avoid delays. Form 1040 and 1040A carry pre printed name address and Social Security numbers. A 7.5 percent surtax was added in 1968 and explained in instructions. W 2 forms must be attached to returns by January 31. Medical deductions allow half of Blue Cross premiums up to 150 dollars if itemized. refer to page 7 of the 1040 instructions.
