Negro Singers to Give Program Here January 30
A quintet of five colored singers from South Carolina and Georgia will perform Spirituals and Plantation Songs at St. Michaels Parish House on January 30. They are led by J F Blanton with Rev Cyril E Bentley describing the Institute’s work across nine schools in eight Southern states to preserve the music in its original form. The group, trained at Voorhees and Fort Valley schools, has toured coast to coast and appeared at Episcopal Church conventions and on radio stations.

Auto Crash Injures Three From Nearby Towns
Three from Bristol Barrington and Providence were in a Foxboro Massachusetts collision Sunday when a vehicle skidded and struck a parked Bristol car. Perron Domenic and Mass Tena Bruno sustained knee and hand injuries while Oliva and LoPrest suffered leg bruises. All were treated at Rhode Island Hospital and later transferred to local care.
