Funeral of Mrs Alma Trudeau in Bristol
Funeral services were held at St Mary's Church for Alma Hamel Trudeau 74 of Williams St. A Bristol resident for 73 years she died Jan 12 after a long illness widow of Arthur Trudeau. Born Manville June 27, 1887 she was daughter of Clovis and Adelaide Latour Hamel. Survived by three daughters Miss Mary Gresters Alma Trudeau and Helena Trudeau and one sister Miss Carmela Servant. Mass was celebrated by Rev Daniel Viccarthy with Deacon Monsignor Charles Lynch. bearers named Napoleon Servant James Gladue George Demenias Alfred Green and Joseph Proto.

Funeral for Mrs Mary Jane McDonough Held at St Mary’s
The funeral of Mrs Mary Jane McKeon McDonough aged 91 of 402 High St was held at Charles 1 Connery Funeral Home with a requiem Mass at St Mary’s Church led by Msgr Charles H Lynch. Burial followed at St Mary’s Cemetery. Bearers included John Pawlik and others. Plans announced for a free food preparation demonstration “How to Stretch your Food Dollar” at Reynolds School Bristol on Jan 24 7 30 to 9 30 pm. Bristolian Passes Army Physical Test in Mainz
Sgt Joseph Brum Jr husband of Rose Ann Brum of Fayetteville North Carolina passed the Army's new physical combat proficiency test in Mainz Germany. Brum arrived overseas last July on this tour of duty and serves as personnel administrative supervisor in Headquarters Company of the 8th Division's 505th Infantry in Mainz. He entered the Army in March 1953 and is a Bristol High School graduate of 1953.
