Moving notices double postage burden on second class mail
In Advance Uncle Sams post office department has raised its rates on all incorrect is addressed second class mail which includes hundreds of papers which we send each week to all parts of the country. Where we used to have to pay 5 cents for a retire from the post office department saying that the addresse2 has moved left no address or no such number or unclaimed or what have you now the post office charges 10 cents for each notice. Last month we had three notices all on the same party. The address was changed immediately on receipt of the first notice but second class mail being slower the other notices followed and the price was paid. It could get to be quite a burden. So we ask a favor of you if you are moving will you kindly notify us in advance giving both the new and the old address. We will appreciate it and we thank you—in advance.
