Miss Anna Martinez and Thomas Majorano of this town were seriously injured Friday evening about 10 30 when struck by an auto driven by Mrs Annie G Staples of 276 Wellington Avenue Austria They were walking across Hope Street opposite Martinez home Both suffered severe facial lacerations and dental injuries with multiple stitches and bruises Majorano also sprained a elbow and leg muscles The driver claimed she did not see them until too late and was released pending further investigation Passengers included Fred A Burt Mrs Gertrude Houghtaling Mrs Bessie Boyle and Mrs Florence Mason
