Prof Wilfred H Munro of Brown University will give an address at the 250th Anniversary Founders Supper at First Congregational church on Thursday evening. He is an authority on Rhode Island and Bristol history and will recount the 1680 founding of the church, the founders purpose, and the call of the first minister Rev Benjamin Woodbridge.
Boxing entertainments tonight in the Artillery Armory on State street feature a strong card. George Caissey was barred by the State Boxing Commission from facing Young Pasione of Warren, so Michael Bullock steps in to meet Young Panong after a prior meeting at a U S Rubber Club smoker.
The Bristol High School Alumni Association meeting, originally set for this evening, is postponed to next Friday at 8 PM in the Colt High School auditorium. A committee of graduates from Bristol and Colt Memorial High Schools will recruit members and advise on activities for the new association.
At a Providence session yesterday the Senate confirmed Governor Case’s re appointment of Dr John R Bernardo to be State Medical Examiner for Bristol. The term lasts until January 31 1934, succeeding the late Dr O R Siegel who held the office for many years. Bernardo has served since Siegel’s death.
This evening in the YMCA gym the N I R basketball team meets the Fall River Swimming Club's top lineup featuring Dickenson Nelman Herman J Hart Norton and O'Neil. The N A girls also play an out of town girls team in the preliminary.
Rev. Herbert D. Graetz will close a Prohibition lecture series at First Congregational church. The Christian Endeavor Society hosts with scripts by Rev. Graetz on the underpinnings of the Prohibition question and the 94 000 respondent questionnaire. The service includes sermons by Rev. Graetz and Rev. Anthony R. Parshley and Mr. Kenneth S. Dale, prayers, readings, and a Christian Endeavor quartet performance.
Bristol and Warren Lions Clubs join for a 7 pm program at the Belvedere Hotel. Governor G L Burtwell of the 23d International District will attend and deliver the main address. Entertainment includes club numbers, a Miss Ella May Lemaire dance specialty, and telephone development films. Colt High School Orchestra will perform and George L Taber will discuss telephone construction and service features.
The Olympians beat the Presbyterians of Pawtucket church league 27 to 20 at the YMCA gym. The first half ended 14 to 11, with Rebello Marshall Raposa Shean Massano Sousa and others scoring for Olympians while J McKenzie Corey Judson led Presbyterians. Referee was George J O'Brien with Miller as timer.
The Rotary Club plans a revolving scholarship fund to aid students in high school or advanced training including technical or academic courses. An entertainment on March 3 and 4, likely a minstrel show, will raise funds. Details to be provided at the next meeting. Rev A R Parshley sent to draft sympathy resolutions for Gen L H Callan on his mother Mrs Katherine E Callan’s death.
Superior Court decrees Bristol Cottage Hospital will receive about $25,000 from the estate of Mrs Arselia M. Babbitt, Bristol, who died Sept 20 1927. One seventh paid soon, six sevenths upon two life Beneficiaries aged 78 and 84.
A list of donations for a children's Christmas party includes Mr Granville Lindles and Mrs Barrows giving gifts, cloths, and treats. Mount Hope Chapter of Eastern Star and St Alban's Lodge hosting events with candy, cakes, and stockings. multiple families providing fruit, nuts, wafers, and sewing services for the children.
The Rev. H. Otheman Smith of First Baptist Warren will preach at First Congregational Bristol this Sunday at 10 45 AM on The Basis of Religion. The church quartet sings Like as the Hart, and a trio plus violin solo will accompany Hear Our Prayer Souvenir.
An adjourned School Committee meeting will likely elect a Colt High School principal for the current year. Names presented Monday include Herbert W. Spink of the Gui teral School faculty Edward J. Fitzgerald and Miss Sadie C Callan of the Colt School faculty with Miss Callan favored. Spink will take up Providence school work after resigning from Guiteras.
Dr. Marion A. Gleason announces a Saturday morning immunization clinic for preschool children at the State Public Health Commission 346 State Office Building Providence. Dr. Paul F. Thompson will oversee the clinic, which focuses on children under school age.

Under the Ladies Aid Society of State Street Church a calendar social lively entertainment Tuesday evening in two parts. Living pictures directed by Mrs Willikm H Remieres and Mrs Rachel Simmons featured vocal solos by Mrs Grace V S Huestis and piano by Mrs Luella M Ryone. Shadow pantomime directed by Mrs Vesta L McVay with participants including Fred G Blaisdell and Miss Evangeline Young. Refreshments served by committee W L McVay Mrs George A Richardson and Mrs Rachel Simmons.
