Dr Samuel D Clark town council president says plan to close five month gap in the fiscal year runs July 1 to June 30 but Jan 31 cutoff leaves five months uncovered. He proposes borrowing 100000 in March and 200000 to 250000 in April to cover unbudgeted periods, citing past borrowing as precedent.
Col John B Gegan reported a clear improvement in postwar Germany during a Bristol Rotary Club talk.
