Daily train at 12 40 a m for Providence announced
Superintendent George A Poore of the Providence Division of the New York New Haven Hartford Railroad informed Town Councilman James J Walsh of Bristol Chamber of Commerce that a late passenger train would depart Bristol daily at 12 40 a m for Providence. The service is effective Wednesday and replaces the 10 20 p m train. He also said repairs to Franklin street station cannot start now but will be addressed as soon as possible.

Funeral services for Mass Harriet Waldron held at St Michael's
Mass Harriet Waldron who died in Providence last Monday was honored in a Wednesday funeral at St Michael's Church where she had long been a member. Rev Anson B Etleward conducted the rites. Bearers were family friends and burial followed in the North Cemetery family lot.

The annual installation of officers for Wampanoag Encampment No 9 I.O.O.F. was held in Odd Fellows Hall. District Deputy Grand Patriarch Edwin W Mercier presided and installed Raymond A Card as Chief Patriarch and a full slate of officers. A turkey supper followed the session with visiting patriarchs from out of town joining the event.

Braz Sentenced to Jail for Assault on Women in Warren
Manuel P Braz of Warren was found guilty in the Fifth District Court of assault on Miss Mary Goggin and violent assault with intent to rob Mrs Blanche Samson. Judge F H Hammill imposed one year in Providence County Jail for Goggin and held Braz on $2,000 bail for Samson. Braz appealed the jail sentence, posting bail and securing surety in the second case.

Bristol Boy Scouts Prepare for Parents’ Night Demonstration
Bristol Troops of the Boy Scouts of America meet at the Scout Building at 7 30 this evening to attend Babbitt Post 15 GAR and Babbitt Women’s Relief Corps installation. Parents’ Night is set for February 14 with drills focused on the event. The First Troop shifts to Monday for next week and the Greater Providence Council leaders’ meeting is Tuesday night. The Fast Shore District Court of Honor assembles Thursday at Warren Town Hall. Meritt Badee Scouts should contact Scoutmasters for session arrangements.
