Bristol Police Pension Fund Grows Through Investments
Police Chief Anthony J. Ferrara reported at a town council meeting that the Bristol Police Pension fund has nearly doubled in 17 years to about $100,000. The funeral for Abraham Eisenstadt a Bristol resident and local merchant was held at 10 a.m. at Sugarman Funeral Home Providence with Rabbi Aaron Goldin officiating. Buried at Lincoln Park Cemetery the 68 year old who died Monday after celebrating his birthday was survived by three sons a daughter a brother a sister and four grandchildren. He built a long career from dry goods to owning stores on Hope Street Belvedere Hill and in the 1933 Dimond property.

Troop 3 Boy Scouts, sponsored by the Bristol Rotary Club and led by Scoutmaster George Oliver, met last Thursday in an unheated garage after losing their YMCA basement quarters. Rescue Squad Saves Dog From Drowning in Pond
The Bristol Rescue Squad rescued a German shepherd owned by Mr and Mrs William Arciero from Collins Pond Greylock Road Sunday around 10 am.
