A town council meeting reviewed requested pay rates for the first six months of the year. The total for each item was considered alongside present amounts, and recommendations were ignored in some cases.
The town council, at a special meeting, voted to change zoning to permit a filling station and its operation, overruling the zoning board. Residents and taxpayers filled the meeting as attorney MacKenzie cited legal notice requirements and the preliminary injunction.
The Planning Board approved the Cedar Street plat in Metacom Avenue area amid debate over a 750 foot block rule and required public crossing. It backed adopting the National Uniform Building Code and instructed Roger W. Pigeon to prepare tax revaluation articles for local press. The board also planned a townwide tax revaluation education program.
