Resignation of Town Patrolman Lemaire Accepted
Oliver J. Lemaire, a police patrolman since Sept. 8, 1919, tendered his resignation to take effect Jan. 18. He cited dissatisfaction with the council’s rejection of a one day off in eight for officers. The meeting discussed Sunday motion pictures legality but took no action. The council accepted several invitations and reports, including library and police chief notices, and approved a victualing permit for Bruno Bros. at 152 Bradford Street. A town signboard for the First and Second Districts will be erected for official notices. Numerous bills were approved for payment.

Miss Margaret Greenwood Reynolds is named industrial nurse at the company hospital succeeding Miss Lowse B Franklin who resigned to resume private nursing in Providence. Reynolds, a 1914 Colt Memorial High School graduate, studied at Children’s Hospital Boston and Maternity Hospital Boston. daughter of the late John Post Reynolds and matron of the day nursery mother. She begins duties next Monday morning.

Christmas Tree Festival At Trinity Church
The Sunday School annual Christmas tree festival was held Tuesday evening with a 7 30 service in the church followed by carols readings and songs in the Parish House. Gifts of candy fruit and toys were distributed from a large tree to attendees.
