The Trinity church Christmas festival began with choral evensong at 7 pm led by the full choir and the school, followed by gifts for pupils and choir members in the Parish Hall. Larceny charge filed against Levesque & Devost driver
Philas Fontaine, a driver for Levesque & Devost on State Street, was arrested on a warrant accusing him of stealing $15. He pleaded not guilty before Justice Herbert F. Bennett and was released on $100 bail provided by Dr. R. B. Church. Fontaine admitted a $15 shortage Wednesday evening and said he offered to pay the difference with owed wages. employers reportedly refused. The case goes to district court next Monday morning.

Miss Laura Annette Waldron daughter of Mrs. Roger Murphy of Central avenue East Providence married William Henry Crandall of Providence on a Tuesday evening. Rev Edwin S Straight of East Providence officiated at the bride’s mother’s home 57 Central avenue with Mrs. Annie Danielson and Euretta Waldron as attendants and Charles Arandsit as best man. The ceremony featured parlor decorations of potted plants and ferns and was attended only by close relatives. The bride a Bristol school alumna will reside in Providence after a short wedding tour. Mr. Crandall works in a Providence glass shop.

Man With Broken Leg Found on Thames Street
At about midnight officer Serbst found Leander M Gayton lying on the Thames Street sidewalk opposite Seth Panil Co. His right leg was broken in two places below the knee and above the ankle, believed from a fall. He was taken to the police station then to Rhode Island Hospital with Alexander G. Fales. He is the son of Thomas Gayton of 1078 Hope Street, about 50 years old.
