The Rockwell Hall Y M C A hosts a public meeting next Monday at 7 30 PM to discuss sewage disposal. Taxpayers will weigh in as the State Board of Pollution of Waters prepares actions against the town and officials face January 20 testimony.
The Ever Ready Engine and Hose Company No 2 hosts its fourth annual fair in Grand Army Hall starting tomorrow evening. Town Council members and officials will attend along with visiting fire companies from across the state. Bristol Boys' Community Band will lead the parade with Jack Stubbs orchestra for dancing and booths will offer various articles for sale across five Saturday evenings.
The First Congregational church of Rhode Island will display a collection of colonial communion plate during the Sunday service at 10 45. The collection includes a 1687 silver tankard and two beakers gifted by John Byfield in 1693 made by Boston silversmith John Coney. Pieces date before the American Revolution. The service will include the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper and the church quartet will perform two anthems.
State Street M E Church announces Sunday services. Morning sermon by Robert John Chrystie on The Angel of Prayer. Church School led by Mrs HH EF Hill at noon. Evening service begins 645 with The Naturalness of our Christian Life. All are welcome to attend for spiritual guidance.

Graetz aims to foster informed discussion and balanced understanding.
Eugene J Moura of 2 Perry Place Fall River and George A Oliveira of 115 Mulberry Street Tiverton faced United States Commissioner Archibald C Matteson in Providence to answer federal prohibition charges. Troopers found a quantity of recistiller moonshine on their Tiverton bound truck leading to federal custody.
The Burnside Lodge No 34 Knights of Pythias elected officers Tuesday night with Frank Child as Chancellor Commander and George Moore named representative to the grand lodge. A committee led by Archie Rounds and Gordon Brown will plan the 37th anniversary observance of the lodge.
The Rotary Club held a farewell gathering at the Hotel Belvedere for Dr W Fred Williams and J Winthrop De Wolf who depart January 6 on a round the world trip. Rev A R Parshley praised them and the pair received leather wallets. Archibald S Sherman later showed films detailing the Mount Hope Bridge’s construction and opening ceremonies. Several guests attended as members’ guests.
