Ever Ready Fire Co Fair Opens Tomorrow in Grand Army Hall

The Ever Ready Engine and Hose Company No 2 hosts its fourth annual fair in Grand Army Hall starting tomorrow evening. Town Council members and officials will attend along with visiting fire companies from across the state. Bristol Boys' Community Band will lead the parade with Jack Stubbs orchestra for dancing and booths will offer various articles for sale across five Saturday evenings.

Congregational Church to Display Historic Communion Plate

The First Congregational church of Rhode Island will display a collection of colonial communion plate during the Sunday service at 10 45. The collection includes a 1687 silver tankard and two beakers gifted by John Byfield in 1693 made by Boston silversmith John Coney. Pieces date before the American Revolution. The service will include the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper and the church quartet will perform two anthems.
