The funeral for Manuel Cabral-Mello 6 of 15 Herzig Street was held Monday at Charles M. Connery Funeral Home and St Elizabeth's Church. He died February 21 at Rhode Island Hospital. survived by his wife Mary Lima Cabral-Mello, a daughter Irene Willetts, three grandchildren, five brothers, three sisters, and several in laws. He was born in St Michael Azores March 20 1897 and lived in town 48 years.

Funeral for Maria Do Carmo Vales Held in Local Church
Funeral rites for 70 year old Maria Do Carmo Vales were held at St. Fizabeth Church with a solemn high Mass of requiem celebrated by Rt Rev Msgr Henrique R Rocha. Deacon was Rev Fernando Veiga and sub-deacon Rev Manuel F Pimente. Bearers included George Correia and Manuel Vales. burial followed at St Mary Cemetery. Mrs Vales, widow of Manuel J Vales, died at home after being born in Vila Franca do Campo Azores.
