High School Pupils Stage The Belle of Barcelona
Colt Memorial High School students staged the three act operetta The Belle of Barcelona with strong singing and dancing. Barbara Newman played Margarita with Joseph Pine as Lieut Wright in a romance set around a Spanish fiesta and a naval inspector plot, featuring a Marine drill and an orchestral accompaniment.
