Keds Division to Begin Limited Schedules at National India Rubber
At a joint meeting of the Factory Council and the Management of the National India Rubber Company officials announced a phased return to work. The Wire Division will run two eight hour days weekly from Feb 14 to March 7 with other days for special operations. The Keds Division will resume March 7 with a five day week of seven hours. The D Wolf Inn and Day Nursery remain closed. Foremen changes in the Shoe division include Lawrence S Greenwell as general foreman over several departments. Joseph Partington becomes assistant foreman of the stitching department. William Gayton is named section foreman over vamping and binding.

Tax limit reduction proposed in state House
