Al Sparks Celebrates 91st Birthday in Town Home
Albert M Sparks, born February 1 1831, remains a bedbound but cheerful guest for his 91st birthday at State street home. He worked 15 years at National India Rubber Company and retired 29 years ago. Surviving children include Mrs Eugene A Rounds, Jared B Sparks, and Charles W Sparks. one wife Mary Ellen Pearse died 45 years ago. He married Catherine H Halden in 1883. she died 1916. He is the last surviving sibling among nine.

The Attleboro Naval Reserves were defeated by the Attleboro American Legion 29 to 77 at the State Armory on Pine Street. Garvin and Drummey were out, Mudlinap starred for the Reserves, Kor, Knight, and L Rennes excelled for the Legion, with Bristol men contributing significantly. Tomorrow they face Winthrop American Legion in Winthrop, a team unbeaten this season. Seven Bristol points came from fouls. Tinkoff and Coggeshall each scored from the floor.
