Swim-A-Thon at Bristol YMCA Raises 6869.98 for Local Causes
The Bristol YMCA’s first Swim-A-Thon raised 6869.98 from 109 swimmers over a 24 hour period. Participants aged seven to 68 included town officials led by Councilman Hugh Holmes. Fifty participants swam the maximum 200 lengths and funds support YMCA equipment, the International Swimming Hall of Fame, a travel fund, and the local swim league.
