New School Plan Faces Town Vote and Political Moves
The Rockwell School expansion faces continuation of a prior defeat to fund the project with a $2156 appropriation after the School Committee resisted external construction groups. A state survey urged a junior senior high option, with final decision to be put to taxpayers at a special town meeting. Separately, Sen Bruno announced a bill to allow voting machines in adjourned town meetings if chosen by the moderator. The Bristol Newport women’s volleyball match and refreshments overseen by Mrs Vicky Bruno will follow next Monday.
