Newly elected officers of Constitution Tent No. 11 Knights of the Maccabees were installed in Odd Fellows Hall with State Commander Elmer L. Galley of Providence presiding. The ceremony featured addresses, music, and gifts including a silver cup and a Past Commander's jewel.

The Society of St. Jean the Baptiste organized Sunday afternoon in King Philip Steam Fire Engine Co on Thames street with about 35 members. Temporary officers elected include Honorary President Oliver Boucher and President Peter Martelly among others. A second meeting was set for next Sunday at 2 PM in Artillery Hall State street.

Fifth District Court Delays Docket and Truancy Action
The Fifth District Court under Judge Hammill continued several civil cases including Metropolitan Cloak Company versus L. W. Chantler Company and Feldman and Dorster versus Chantler. Dr. O R Siegel versus Joseph Fedico was continued one week. Truants were brought in by Truant Officer Annie Selley and parents were reminded of truancy law. A special Sunday session ended with Manuel Perry’s assault case discontinued upon cost payment.
