Former Bristol Boy in Russia Found by U S Sailors
Oliver D McGann 17 son of Mr and Mrs Oliver G McGann Waterbury Conn formerly of Bristol ran away in May 1917 and was found in Archangel Russia by American sailors He wandered from home after leaving for England then Russia and expressed desire to return to the United States His mother plans to contact Congressman Glynn State Department to bring him home if he remains in Russia.

Veterans Celebrate Christmas at Soldiers Home
About 50 women from Slocum Relief Corps Providence arrived with Department officers and Army and Navy officers to celebrate at the Soldiers Home. Commandant McKenzie received them as gifts of candy and fruit were shared with veterans, followed by luncheon, musical program, card games and dancing. A Christmas tree filled with gifts was the evening highlight arranged by Ward Sergeant William Baker, and Gov Beeckman portrait was presented for display. Rear Admiral John R. Edwards spoke, with multiple addresses and performances concluding the program.
