Midnight Services Set for Christmas Eve and Day
Devout parishioners attend Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services. The schedule includes 11 45 P M Christmas Themes and Silent Night with a solemn midnight mass, followed by mass times 8 and 9 30 and 10 30 A M on Christmas Day with benediction. Choirs directed by Mrs. Dora L Iannugcillo perform with a large roster of members and musicians.

Almeida Post 237 VFW met at Eagles Hall to back a plan by the United Veterans Council and 17 other groups for a modern fireproof home for at least 300 veterans on the old plant site and to create an independent veterans welfare department. Thirty nine members of the Left Handed Club attended a Tbone Steak supper at the Silver Cafe on State Street Sunday. Musical entertainment and refreshments followed.
