Planning Board approves the sale of a small harborfront land strip to Collins and Aikman Corporation and rezoning to move Wardwell Lumber. Boy Scouts Final Plea for Christmas Toy Drive

The Bristol Boy Scouts seek co operation for their annual Christmas Good Turn of repairing and distributing reconditioned toys to needy children. Tomorrow is the final day for toy collection with phone contact Bristol 511 W. Scouts will call for toys today or tomorrow and distribution runs Monday and Tuesday.

Bristol Shaken By Early Morning Quake

Early morning tremors woke Bristol residents with at least nine shocks in quick succession. The Burnside Memorial Building, housing the police department, shook as the quake struck around 2:28 am for about 20 seconds and was felt across a wide New England area.
