Christmas Eve church school service at 7 p.m. with carols. Christmas Day Holy Communion at 8 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. with the sermon "Christmas Wisdom." Choir and communicants urged to participate.

The First Baptist Church schedules a Christmas program with voluntary doxology invocation responsive reading hymn and carol singing by the children's choir. Readings include Matthew 2 1 20 and the sermon titled The Eternal Word followed by Holy Night and a benediction. Church school at 1145 and evening service at 730 features carols and a sermon The Stranger's Quest by the pastor.
The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel announces Christmas services with the choir performing MacKeever’s Mass at midnight and 10 o clock Masses. Soloists James C Ruggiero and Joseph Panone sing during the mass. Adeste Fideles and Ave Maria appear at offertory, Silent Night closes, with violins by Vincent Campagna and Nicholas Perry. Junior Choir leads children’s mass with Pastorale Silent Night and Hark What Means Those Holy Voices Sleep, Heal s Babe. Mary Ruggiero and Eleanor St Angelo sing Adeste Fideles at offertory. Masses will be celebrated at midnight and at 7 8 30 and 10 30 am. At midnight Rev Francisco G Vieira will celebrate a solemn high mass assisted by Rev Thomas Greely. Battman's mass in Eb will be sung by the Senior choir. Adeste Fideles will be sung at the offertory. O Lovely Infant Dearest Saviour will be sung by Anthony Nunes at mass close with soloists Miss Rose Paivo Miss Lena Sousa and Miss Augusta.
Gennaro Tortora 43 of 5 Bourn Avenue was found dead on Chestnut Street near St Marys Cemetery with gunshot and stab wounds. Police hunt Antonio Maione of Warren as a principal suspect. evidence includes a broken double barreled shotgun and a loaded revolver. Funeral set for Our Lady of Mount Carmel with burial at St Marys Cemetery.
A sale and entertainment last evening in the vestry of the First Baptist Church attracted many attendees. The Berean Class offered cake, candy, and fancy articles, while vocal and instrumental numbers and a tableau titled The Magic Mirror entertained guests. The committee in charge included Mrs Francis Ro Enslin Miss May Williams and Mrs John Henry Butfum.
Mr and Mrs Frank B Wilson formerly of Bristol and now of Conshohocken Pa express appreciation in a Phoenix letter. They say radio keeps former associations alive and enjoy the All Bristol program broadcast Monday evening by station WJAR.
