Bristol Woman Stricken in Providence Dies After Heart Attack

Mrs Margaret Romano of 236 State Street Bristol was stricken with a heart attack yesterday afternoon while Christmas shopping with her husband in Providence. She died before medical aid arrived. Born December 21 1904 in Terzigno Italy she would have turned 31. Survivors include her husband two stepsons Joseph and Louis and stepdaughter Josephine Romano. Funeral plans are incomplete.

Garden Club plans floral competition at Bristol meeting

Bristol Garden Club prepares for a floral decorative schemes contest to be held Thursday at Mrs William L McKee home Ferry Road. Classes include Christmas table centrepieces winter bouquets and original Christmas door wreaths or sprays. Funeral services for Philip Pasquarelli prominent Italian resident

Funeral services were held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for Philip Pasquarelli who died Saturday at St Josephs Hospital Providence after a brief illness. Rev Joseph Sorzaila officiated. Burial was in St Marys cemetery. Survived by widow Mrs W Felix Alexander and Domenic Pasquarelli and four daughters. two sisters, a brother and two grandchildren. He was born Campo Basso Italy 65 years ago and came to America 35 years ago settling in Bristol. He worked 26 years at National India Rubber Company and active in Italian community affairs. He belonged to Santa Maria Maddalena Lodge and Sons of Italy.
