Annual Turkey Supper Draws Large Crowd at Congregational Church

The annual turkey supper hosted by the Congregational Club at the Memorial Chapel of the First Congregational Church drew a large crowd. Club members coordinated tables and decorations with colored themes, a notable Aunt Dinah exhibit, and the Colonial Orchestra providing music. the event was praised as the most successful supper and sale to date.

Prize Winners Highlight BTA Fair Night Amid Weathered Crowds

At the BTA Fair last evening Roger Farrally and Miss Katherine Ryan won first prize in a close contest judged by Rudolph Wells Terrance Morris and William Cashin. Ladies of the Maccabees and Rabbitt Women's Relief Corps attended as crowds grew despite bad weather. Tonight features Scout night with Bristol Troop 8S in attendance and prizes on books to be awarded. The fair closes tomorrow with Firemen's night as Hydraulion Engine Company and Bay Spring Fire Company will attend.

Distant shooter found guilty in Providence court

In Superior Court Providence Tuesday, Raffaele Sansole was found guilty of shooting with intent to kill Game Wardens Medbury and Quinn near Mount Hope. He received five years in State Prison plus a $40 fine and costs for possessing two shot squirrels. Sentences on two officer shooting counts run concurrently for a total of five years.

British Relief Association Formed In Local Y M C A Parlor

A Rhode Island branch of the British Relief Association was formed last evening at the Y M C A parlors to aid British soldiers and sailors affected by the European war. George E Liebreich presided as speakers included ex mayor Henry Fletcher William Beresford James H MacCell Mrs Spencer Over Judge E O Dubois Rev Dr McGilton and others. Officers were elected and committees appointed to advance the work.

Colts Memorial High School Defeats Attleboro in MCA Gym

The Colt Memorial High School team beat Attleboro High School 13 to 10 in a tight MCA gym game last evening. The local squad earns praise for its victory over the visitors and a fast game is anticipated next Thursday as Holy Name Society of Newport visits for a strong matchup here.
