Serbst Criticizes Snorkel Truck Handling by Town Council
Henry F. Serbst leading a Dreadnaught Fire Company delegation assailed the town council over the Snorkel storage case calling it a colossal mess. He cited $85,000 spent, tires failing, a 1000 GPM nozzle replaced by 500 GPM, and unsafe storage at Lindy’s Waste Paper. He urged outdoor storage at Dreadnaught Station and warned of an appeal if a permanent injunction denies building. The council rejected a motion to consider other sites and asked Fire Chief Andrade and committee chair Dion to study the truck’s condition.
