New 8-Inch Water Line Extends to Metacom Avenue
An eight inch diameter water supply line has been laid from Buttonwood street east to Metacom avenue along East State street covering 1890 feet. Completion was reported Friday and hydrants now serve Buttonwood, East State, Gooding's Lane, and Metacom intersections, with further extensions planned as demand warrants under Water Works Superintendent C C Getchell.
