Colt will and bequests total four hundred thousand dollars

The will of Col. Samuel Pomeroy Colt filed with the Probate Court outlines public bequests exceeding 400 000 dollars including 300 000 to Bristol and Bristol institutions in Bristol stock of the Bristol Warren Water Works Company and 50 000 to the Bristol poor fund. Specific bequests include 50 000 to St Michael s Church Bristol Home for Destitute Children and 20 000 to several Bristol charities.
