Jay Heaney a Rhode Island College sophomore dominated the Bristol Recreation Ramstock 1 1 2 mile Bristol Town Beach Swim Race clocking 35 minutes 1 second to win for the fourth straight year. James Edwards a longtime favorite finished second in 35 37. Vincent Campanella placed third. Sandy Matrone topped the junior division in 53 53. Manuel Rego Recreation Board chair awarded prizes after eight swimmers started and seven finished.
