More than 700 people registered yesterday at the employment head quarters in Eagles hall for Paramode Shoe Company Bristol. Officials say 15 to 20 hand and block cutters start work today and about 50 machine stitchers will be hired tomorrow or Thursday. The plant occupies 28 000 square feet in two buildings of the National India Rubber Co and will employ 300 to 400 at full capacity.

Thirteen Bristol Yacht Club 121-2 footers sailed in Newport for the Ida Lewis Yacht Club regatta weekend series.
