Official WWII combat films to be shown in Bristol Armory series
Bristol Battery C of the 243rd Anti-Aircraft Artillery will sponsor free weekly showings of uncensored World War II combat films at the State Armory at 8 p.m. every Tuesday. The screenings feature Army Navy and Marine combat footage with wing camera action and may include captured enemy films. On Aug 24 the unit moves to Camp Sun Valley near Frenchtown and remains until August 30.

Arrival of Rev Dal Bon as Assistant Pastor at Mt Carmel
The Rev Emilio Donanzan of Our Lady of Mt Carmel will be succeeded by the Rev Lorenzo Dal Bon as assistant pastor of St Anthony's Church Fredonia NY and former acting pastor of Our Lady of Loreto East Providence. Final Plans By Drum Corps Committee In Kearney
The Drum Corps committee of Kearney Post No 6 American Legion meets Friday at 7 30 PM at the Kearney Post Home to finalize funds for sending the Bristol Boy Scout Bugle and Drum Corps to New York for the August 28 29 30 Legion national competition. A final financial report will be given and a last fundraising push planned over two weeks. Donation boxes placed in town invite voluntary contributions and ticket returns for unsold or money due from August 3. Chairman George R. Fish announces.

Public Hearing Set on State-wide Telephone Rate Increases

Admiral Hoover urged Bristol residents with objections to attend and express views, noting the ABC Bus Company hearing drew few speakers at first but later generated strong protests.
