Kindergarten registrations prompt district reallocation plan

The 1959 60 kindergarten registrations pose accommodation problems said School Superintendent Edward J. Fitzgerald. Of 117 registered, 32 are in the district serving Rodwell School and 85 outside would attend Oliver School. Oliver cannot exceed 70 morning and afternoon pupils, while Rockwell can accommodate more. To avoid waiting lists or denied admissions, the superintendent hopes outside-district families will send children to Rockwell, with parents to provide transportation. If enough shift, late registrants may wait. Parents outside district urged to contact the superintendent before August 29.
