Seven Day Suspension of Local Liquor Licenses
Five local clubs and one package store had licenses suspended for a week by James D. Daneker in Providence. The Bristol and Bradford clubs were closed from 1 a.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. August 15, and the package store from 1 a.m. tomorrow. Violations cited include illegal Sunday sales and opening before worship hours. The suspended licensees include Bradford Street Boccia Club, Bristol Athletic Association, Hotel Colonial proprietor Frances Bottiglieri, Silver Cafe owner Domingos Rodrigues, Anna V Martins, and Campanella Package Store.

Furniture and school supplies are being moved into Rockwell School on Bristol Neck from Taft and Oliver Schools. Superintendent Edward J. Fitzgerald said the Rockwell will open to pupils next month at the start of the 1951 52 school season with a formal program planned in early September.
