Local WPA Program Adds Self Defense Boxing and Puppet Show
Bristol supervisor Michael DeLeo announced that the local WPA recreational program includes self defense boxing classes led by Frankie Curcio, former Rhode Island lightweight champion, every Tuesday 1 to 3 PM on the Common. Miss Mildred Baxter of Providence will run a puppet show next Tuesday on the Common, weather permitting in Reynolds school auditorium. Bristol horseshoe pitching champions plan a local tournament next Monday as warm up for a later trip to face Warren and Barrington.
