Huge Sand Shark Captured By Boys at Walker's Cove
Four youths hauled a giant sand shark weighing about 300 pounds from four feet of water at Walker's Cove after a four hour battle. Charles Peters spotted the fin and, with Pasquale Peters Arnol Carroll and Edward Capitano, used clams rake and sticks to subdue the beast. The shark was killed and displayed to townspeople before being taken to the office.
