Brenton Reef Race Won By Duchess With Silver Cap
The Brenton Reef yacht race was sailed Saturday from Bristol Yacht Club. Six yachts started at 9 20 a m racing for a silver cap donated by Commodore William L McKee. Duchess owned by Joseph E Fletcher Jr won by a little over seven hours covering about 32 miles. Priscilla placed second and Kildee third. Ancre did not finish. Rain and a stiff breeze gave way to a calm after passing Bren ton Reef lightship.

Dorothy L Woodage daughter of Urban G and Daisy M Wood died Sunday at her parents summer cottage on Kiokémutti avenue. The body was taken to Providence Sunday evening. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 PM from the parents residence 169 Roosevelt Street to that city.

Bold burglars in Bristol targeting three homes
Police report three Bristol Neck burglaries in one night at the Watts home on Fort Hill Mrs. James Anderson owned property on Usher Place and the Viets Peck residence on Hope Street. Items stolen include a diamond brooch pin a ladies Swiss watch and cash. In all cases the robbers used window or screen entries and left behind few clues.
