School Planning Costs Now Lowered by Taxpayers
The school committee reports a revised planning cost cut from 7 percent to 5.6 percent of total construction, due to applying the fee to 80 percent of cost and delaying a quarter of the fee until after building begins. About 56000 of planning costs will be absorbed in the building appropriation to be presented later. a vote on the 250000 appropriation may occur two weeks after the Aug 25 meeting unless taxpayers object.
