Town trims Nunes budget to cut taxes and fund shifts
Town Council slashed 660,499 from the administrator Augustine J Nunes budget leaving 7,620,385.88 total and boosting the town tax rate by about 28 cents from 55.52. Nunes salary and legal funds were cut while capital and operating budgets faced major reductions amid controversy over charter rules and upcoming May 11 referendum.
