A summer cottage owned by James P Wilcox at Swift's Point near Kirkemuit river three miles from town burned in a 3 am Saturday fire. The blaze was not discovered until the building was practically consumed and an alarm for local firemen seemed unnecessary. The cottage was furnished and all household effects burned including a piano. The owner estimates the loss above $15,000.
