School Committee Moves To Open Negotiations For Pevin Property
At a special meeting in the Colt Memorial high school library the School Committee voted to begin negotiations to purchase the Joseph Pevin property on the Guiteras Memorial school site. A negotiating committee was set to finalize the sale and auction the buildings. Pevin asks 10000, taxpayers earlier approved 10000 for payment, but town meeting lacks jurisdiction.

Celebrated Anniversary of Mr and Mrs Edward Bacon

False key thieves raid dentist office at Hope and State
Dr Howard W Church reported a break in at his second floor office in the Frank Paull block. Thieves used false keys to enter, stealing gold bridgework and cocaine valued at $200. The dentist left at 540 Friday afternoon and found the ransacked office at 6:30. Police were notified at 8:20.
