Mydraulion's Annual Fair Opens With Military Parade
The 15th annual Hydraslion Engine and Hose Company fair opened at Artillery Armory on State Street with a welcome address by Foreman Walter H. Coggeshall. The Bristol Train of Artillery and Warren Artillery attended, a parade marched the main streets with red fire along the line, and guests included Dreadnaught Hook Ladder and Hose, King Philip Engine, and Board of Fire Engineers. The Herreshoff Marine Band led a parade before opening, and the Crown orchestra was to provide music for dancing each evening. The Newport Naval Reserves planned to attend but were unable due to the death of a member.

Death of Charles Henning in Bristol
Charles Henning a longtime Bristol resident died Friday evening at his home 128 High street after a six week illness from complications following influenza. Born in Stockholm Sweden on March 10 1858 he was 52 going on 53. He was a son of the late Carl A Henning and Elizabeth Eckstrom Henning and worked as a szaman before settling in Bristol around 1880 except for a year in Chicago.

Henning dies. longtime National India Rubber sales agent
obituary notes Henry Henning once led the National India Rubber Company sales department in Monroe street offices. A former Chicago deputy collector and active Republican, he married Grace Eddy in 1886 and held many local affiliations. Survived by wife, daughter Clara Louise and relatives in Oakland and Sweden, his funeral was held at 1:30 pm on High Street with numerous floral tributes. Continued on third pages.
