Forty Seven Years Blind Man Linked to Bristol Obituary

The body of Jeremiah Willis was brought to Bristol from Fairhaven and interred in the North cemetery. Born on Block Island he lost sight after typhoid fever at twenty five yet earned a livelihood by sawing splitting wood gathering quahaugs and fishing. He lived in Wickford and Bristol, leaves a wife two sons and two daughters, aged seventy two, and was noted as cheerful and upright. A brief state election note followed with Bristol’s light vote and detailed results.
