A Yankee Buccaneer and a Boston Boy Rescue Gone Wrong
In 1823 a Bolivian privateer schooner with pirates sails into Narragansett Bay. Peleg Buford, a returned townsman, and a Boston boy lure danger and attempt a rescue. After suspicious visits and muttered rumors, the vessel departs in a storm, leaving two dead and Buford’s fate tangled in Havana rumors and New England whispers.
