Rise of Individualism Shifts American Civil Life
The piece argues that American civilization evolves from patriarchal, family-centered systems to strong individualism. It notes the decline of monarchies and aristocracies, the rise of personal rights, and the separation of political and legal rights within marriage. It cites education, religion, and politics as driven by individual freedom and questions potential overreach affecting women and family representation. It references state acts on suffrage and legislative moves toward broader personal liberty.
