The treasurer submits a report detailing monies received and disbursed on town account from ordinary taxes. It lists entries for W. Bradford collections in 1862 to 1865 with amounts 236 42, 280 56, 499 50 and 33 20892.
The Bristol town treasurer reports detailed expenditures for poor relief, public schools, rents, land rents, dog licenses, miscellaneous items, and debt service. Totals show receipts of 44 137 82 and expenses of 39 457 3 with a balance of 4 680 50. Names include H Latham, A Sidney D Wolff, D Munro, J Gladding, G Munro, and W P Baxter among others.
The Rhode Island General Assembly authorizes Governor to set salaries for state officers. Adjutant General salary fixed at $300 per year from April 1 1866, Quartermaster General at $300 from April 1 1864, Paymaster General at $100 from April 1 1856. State Allotment Commissioner Amos D Smith III to be discontinued after May 1860 proximo.
