In a tense court scene the verdict declares GUILTY as a condemned woman meets the gaze of observers. Charles Monroe, convinced of his lover Arminia Grey's innocence, plans to confront her accuser. A swift mission leads to the mansion where Sheriff Morrison and a lawyer press for answers and seize assets. In a startling turn, the appraisers and Grey discover the elusive Scaramunt has fled, while the recovered villain Robert Searymoott is confronted amid a chaotic search through the premises.
