Brunswick proposes bombardment then signs Amsterdam capitulation
From the London Gazette dated October 12, the Duke of Brunswick planned bombarding Amsterdam but a deputation urged terms. The capitulation was signed the next day at noon and that evening he took possession of the city gate. The capitulation lists six articles. promotions in the army are also noted.
