The provinces resolved that those who insulted the Princess of Orange shall never be restored and must remain disqualified from any government charge. In Ostend and Gravelines trade grows, many merchants settle, new houses rise quickly, and the harbour fills with ships while quiet returns and hostile families relocate.
The King knighthood Paul Jodrell physician. The King creates George Townshend Marquess Townshend of Raynham Norfolk. Samuel Marshall appointed Commissioner for virt- ualling the navy in place of James Kirk deceased. John Daniell appointed Comptroller of fair duties in place of George Hall deceased.

An advertisement extols the ITarsa Lottery with numerous prize allocations including two prizes of 10,001 and 500 coins, along with several other prize tiers. It states that outstanding Prize Shares from English and prior Irish Lotteries must be exchanged at specified offices for full amounts and immediate prize payments in heavy guineas or bank drafts, naming Mel Newnham and associates in Lombard Street and Pall Mall as references. It also warns Bristol and Bath inhabitants that only the listed offices are sanctioned.
