They resolve to send copies to provincial Lords of State asking orders to curb licentious journalism and prosecute authors printers and distributors who publish libels.
London dispatches report Sir Guy Carleton ready to resign if Cabinet measures persist, seeking parliamentary approval to renew hostilities in America. Halifax letters note drought in the West Indies, Cork fleet safe, and Jamaica-bound ships under convoy. France plans stronger campaigns next year. Russia sees sky high prices from French purchases. A Moroccan embassy to Fez with gifts is planned, Payne named envoy. Duel in Madrid ends with the Grandeesman killed. Maltsters press for London barley imports, price debates in Dudley. Longevity anecdotes of the Begge family. Drury Lane star Abingdon’s salary debated. Cheesemaking prices rise at Winchester and Salisbury fairs. Thomas Cooke jailed for horse theft. Salisbury pawnbroker robbed of cash and watch.
A rider near Petersfield and a London traveler resist armed robbers. Chelmsford mails loss at Lynn. Oxfordshire gang robs a farmhouse, seizes cash, and injures residents. Reading barn fire devastates 17 houses and farms. Norwich reports a brutal murder in Erjsmell with robbery. Birmingham notes a staged kidnapping and robbery by a self-styled captain in Litchfield.
A Stones of Character and Reputation holds several thousand pounds at his bankers and is willing to discount West-India Bills accepted by good houses on terms equal to government security. Letters from Principals post-paid to Mr. Thomas Leroy, No 5 St Clement's Church-Yard, London, will be immediately attended to.
The notice lists monetary figures and invites ladies or gentlemen to join as adventurers by leaving orders and money with Mr Honces's agents. It notes letters prepaid, and that Caritas prizes from twelve years of prior lotteries are sold with no extra expense.
Merchants Hall Bristol 1782 announces acceptance of sums not less than 1001 for annuities and bonds payable to the lender or order or bearer. Interest at 4 percent, payments on March 26 and September 28. Principal repayable on thirty days notice before those dates. By order of the Society SworralL.
The document notes share prices and ticket stamps with prices in half and eighth fractions. It states all shares sold at this Office are stamped at the Stamp Office London and tickets deposited with the Receiver General under Parliament’s act. Office hours are 8 am to 2 pm, reopen 4 pm to 8 pm, with drawings beginning November 18.
The column reports cures of cancers by spirits preserved cures performed by Miss Plunkett. Names include Mrs Raxworthy of Henytsbury Wilts and Mrs Batty Beckington Somerset with cancers in breast or lip. Several others from Wiltshire Dorset and Somerset are named as cured and in good health. Miss Plunkett resides opposite Cornwell buildings near Walcot Church Bath.
The 1782 English State Lottery announces 40 500 tickets with total prizes £405000. Drawing starts November 18. Tickets and shares sold only at Schmoll Beeckman and Co Bristol No 51 Corn Street. Shares stamp'd at London Stamp Office with Anchor. Country correspondents may receive tickets by remitting bills payable at sight or short date. Correct numerical book kept, tickets registered at six pence each.
To be let or sold and entered upon immediately as dwelling house with a good garden stables for two horses and every other convenience pleasantly situated at Sea Mills Dock in Westbury upon Trim parish. About 7 acres of meadow or pasture land included. For particulars apply to Messrs Ospornes and Seager Bristol or E Nicnottis or the premises.

Prices range from eight pence to ten pence per item.
Notice warns readers that almanacks printed for the Company of Stationers must bear the mark Printed for the Company of STATIONERS and sold by John Wilkie at Ludgate Street Hall. It advises country shopkeepers and hawkers to obtain them there for cash or good bills at a short date, at the same price as London dealers.
